Tahini

A paste of ground toasted sesame seeds — rich, nutty, and slightly bitter. The base of hummus and a natural partner for lemon and garlic. Also great drizzled over roasted vegetables.

Tahini

Used for

In the kitchen

  • whisk into sauce

Picking it at the store

  • Oil separation on top is completely normal — just stir it back in
  • Look for brands with one ingredient (sesame) and no added oils; the flavour is far better
